Ethereal Lavender Fairy Makeup Tutorial & Giveaway for Urban Decay Feminine Palette

Growing up enchanted by fairytale stories, I've always been inspired by their fantasy world. Since I like ethereal makeup, I decided to give it a go with this lavender fairy look. Hope you enjoyed the tutorial and share with me photos if you've tried this look as well :)

{ Beach Days Denim on Denim }

I'm already missing the beach!! The other time I went, I wore a denim on denim look for a more casual look. Instead of the usual button up denim shirt over a pair of jeans, I opted for a studded cropped denim bustier and jean shorts with lace hem. It's the perfect touch of tough and sweet mixed together.

Luckily, the water was nice and cool so I kicked around in it as the sun created a beautiful palette of colors behind me.

Like any other denim on denim look, make sure the two garments aren't the exact same color or it'll look too matchy matchy! My top is darker than the bottom, which was also more texture. Not only is it more pleasing to look at, but creates more details as well.

{ NYFW 01: Fenced in } Cropped Top, Maxi Cardi

From my previous NYFW post on the Noble & Heart presentation, I had a sneak peek of my outfit from day one! As many people know, I love cropped tops! I wore my cutout cropped red top with a black chiffon maxi for a mixture of sheers and length. Mixing lengths is a great way to add variety to an outfit!

The chiffon cardigan gave me some coverage so I don't feel to revealing, yet it wasn't too heavy that I felt like I was drenched in sweat from the heat of that day. Of course the high waisted shorts (my favorite type of shorts!) helps with coverage too so I don't show too much skin in the midriff. To play up the cutouts, my bangle is still cutout. Since I was a photographer, I used my backpack as my camera bag. I hate real camera bags because they're never cute D: LOL And my shoes is my new and favorite sandals! I got it on sale at DSW ;)

Noble & Heart NYFW Presentation 2014

NYFW kicked off last Wednesday! I was asked by Fashion Avenue News Magazine to help cover Noble & Heart's NYFW Presentation at 128 Flat. I happily agreed as I love photography & fashion~ When we arrived, the director Cristina greeted us with a warm smile and handshake, encouraging us to browse around her creations. They also offered delicious lemonade and sweets!

What I love about Heart & Noble Presentation is that their design aesthetics - modern, simple and unique. They spent their time pasting post its all over the walls to help pop out her designs. Not only was the interior design carefully thought out, the staff's ensemble was also thoroughly coordinated. Each had a different look, but were well coordinated - clean silhouettes with cutouts and asymmetric details.

The designs were really interesting - each piece was very different from the other. The raindrop shapes were connected together in different forms to form bracelets, necklaces and rings. { Golden Arrow }

Even though I bought this dress back in 2012 during the Rory Beca collaboration with Forever21, it's still one of my favorite dresses I own. The cut is so forgiving - it has drawstrings for a built in waist cincher without an additional belt. The back hem is longer than the front, so it flows slightly behind and don't have to worry about bending down to pick up dropped items.

The double strap design creates a slight cutout look at the shoulder, that meets at the back for a racerback design. The cutouts prompted me to match it with my gold cutout arrow bangle, thus the golden arrow name. Which went perfectly with the shape of my envelope crossbody bag and geo necklace.

I also want to give my condolensces to Ladies Code's EunB's and Rise's family, friends, group members, company and fans. I was reading news on EunB's death from the car accident, and last night was updated about RiSe's death too. She was strong holding on, but at the end became an angel like EunB, watching over Ladies Code. So I kept listening to this song:

Such a sudden and tragic accident/death teaches us three things. Safety first - the company should've checked on the rented van so the wheel wouldn't have fallen out like so, and if it's raining hard and there is no schedule to chase, stay at a nearby hotel until weather is better to drive in. Cherish the people around you and show them your love, because life is short. You never know what may happen, as scary as it is. And lastly, chase after your dreams as the two of them did so bravely. I've been crying these days even though I didn't know them, but they were around my age. It's just depressing. They will be in my prayers.

{ Beach Leopard } Sexy Maxi Dress

Apparently I'm a professional dress thrower :P

Beach bunnies are girls who love spending a lot of time on the beach. But why bunnies? Why not leopards? :P Sorry, I just love the cat family.

I love listening to the songs of the waves. So recently, I went with three photographers in my m-slit leopard print maxi dress. I'll admit, I mainly bought the dress because it reminded me of HyunA's dress in Troublemaker's debut MV.

Of course I can't find the exact same dress, and even if I did I bet it was super expensive and out of my price range T_T I just loved the length and animal print! Instead, I got this open back maxi dress that I could wear my strappy bra. What I love about m-slits is that it's so flowy!! Though sometimes have to watch out I don't expose myself. However, I loved that this dress had built in shorts, so I didn't really have to worry about wardrobe malfunctions on the lower portion. The top portion is another story, it moves around a bit :X The shorts causes problems going to the bathroom though hahahha. That's why I don't wear rompers.

I love the location they chose, it overseas the bridge and we were lucky - it was a nice cloudy day. Perfect lighting, and perfect backdrop of city x nature. There were so many the photographer, Alvin Lim Soh, took that I loved, but I narrowed down to these 10 as my favorites. He was really good with lighting, and capturing angles to elongate my legs. Who doesn't love longer legs? ;)
